This half term, our Art topic has been ‘Cubism’. After finding out about the ‘Cubism’ movement and leading artists, we had a go at creating our own interpretations in the style. We began by choosing a household object, deconstructing and rearranging them very randomly. Then, we used tracing paper to transfer the outlines onto a black page ready for painting. The final choice we needed to make was our colour schemes. Whilst some of us opted to use many shades of a single colour, others chose to use a variety of colours in the same tones. To complete our pieces, we carefully outlined every detail to make it pop!
Here are some of our final pieces, can you work out what household object they represent?
