Nursery-Application-Form

The majority of children start Skyswood Nursery in the September following their third birthday and spend a total of three terms in the nursery class before transitioning to a Reception class, the following September. 

However, if places allow, we can offer children an earlier start as follows: 

• Children who have their third birthday between 1 September and 31 December can start in the January (spring term) and spend a total of five terms in nursery.
• Children who have their third birthday between 1 January and 31 March can start in the April (summer term) and spend a total of four terms in nursery.

Children who are not successful in securing an ‘early’ start in the spring or summer term will still be considered for a place starting the following September.

The timeline for applications for the academic year 2026/27 is as follows:

Friday 23rd January 2026:  Deadline for Applications for September 2026 nursery places

Friday 6th February 2026: Nursery places for September 2026 offered 

Wednesday 18th March 2026:  Parents must accept or decline their offered place by this date.

Skyswood Nursery Provision

 Our standard nursery provision is 15 hours of nursery education per week in the form of 5 sessions, Monday to Friday, each of 3 hours, 9 am – 12 noon.

From September 2026, in partnership with Re:play Breakfast and After School Club, we will be offering full wrap around care from 7.30 am to 6 pm as follows:

SKYSWOOD NURSERY HOURS

School run AM session 9.00 am-12.00 pm FUNDED 15 hours for all (Drop off from 8.50 am)
