Year 6 Trip to the Houses of Parliament

On Monday, Year 6 visited the Houses of Parliament. We walked the path that the Queen takes when she enters to makes her speech at the opening of Parliament, and stood in the robing room which is adorned with gold leaf. Our guides took us round the House of Lords and the House of Commons, and pointed out where Boris sits. We then had a debate about banning smoking and were visited by the M.P. for St. Albans, Daisy Cooper, who kindly answered our many questions.
