Year 6 arrive in Wales!

Our Year 6 class have safely arrived at the Llandudno hostel, following a comfortable journey down and taking in the impressive Drayton Park Theme Park in Tamworth. The children loved the park and enjoyed almost three queue-free hours in perfect weather conditions. Rides such as the Apocalypse, Maelstrom  and G-Force were firm favourites with many of the children, although others (including staff) opted for some of the gentler options. On arriving at Llandudno the weather changed to a more traditional Welsh summer but everyone has settled in well and the children, following dinner, are now settled down (after a short walk) to a movie night and a slice of Theo’s birthday cake. One or two of the children were a little anxious about a week away from their parents but we are pleased to say that all of the children have really enjoyed the day and are absolutely fine! The children were a credit to our school whilst at the theme park and they all seem very happy with the room selection. Plas y Brenin tomorrow (with climbing, abseiling and raft building.) We’ll update you tomorrow. Hopefully the only soakings will come from raft building as opposed to rain.
