Year 4 had a fantastic time dressing and acting as Vikings for the day. They enjoyed many craft activities in the morning such as weaving, clay pottery, making runes and hammer necklaces. They also formed a Viking army with shields, swords, bows and arrows, even charging at Miss McAlister and Mrs Traviss in the playground!
In the afternoon, the children had a chance to do some excavating where they were digging and searching for artifacts and thinking about what they might have been and where they might have come from.
The children shared their knowledge of the Vikings and learned even more. Everyone looked great in their costumes and we all had an excellent day!
