School successful in bid for window replacement

Great news for Skyswood… The school have been successful in our bid to replace all of the original window walling, which is in poor condition and extremely energy inefficient. The project will be fully funded by Herts County and is estimated to cost somewhere in the region of £280,000 as all of the metal frames will have to be replaced alongside our windows. We really hope that as much of the work as possible will be carried out during the summer holidays and will obviously work closely alongside Herts County in order to manage the project with a view to ensuring the minimum of disruption to the children. It really is very exciting to think that the school will have such a major makeover that will transform the building and help us to make significant energy savings as we move forward into the future.
