Our Snowdonia Diary- Tuesday 20th May

Year 6 children amazed the staff this morning when the first official ‘room inspections’ found six immaculate rooms with the children ready for breakfast and well prepared for the day ahead, an activity packed day at Plas y Brenin. The children boarded the coach with waterproofs on due to light rain. On the return from Plas y Brenin we were lucky to get on just before a torrential downpour, yet during our time at the activity centre the rainclouds disappeared and the weather was fine. The children split into groups during the morning (for abseiling and rock climbing) and then went on to raft building in the afternoon. Once again, the class gave our school much to be proud of. Their attitude and behaviour has been exemplary throughout the day and all of the children are proud of today’s personal achievements, whether it be abseiling from the tower, climbing to the top of the climbing wall, or constructing a sturdy and effective raft. We send our best wishes to family, friends and everybody at Skyswood. Sno-Tubing, tobogganing, tram-rides and copper mine tomorrow. With hopefully an evening stroll along to the beach.
