Helping Hand for Hestia

Thank you to everybody for supporting our Hestia Day on Friday 3rd February. A particularly big thank you to those who made or donated cakes, made items for our craft sale, or bought craft items or cakes at lunch time and after school. The idea was initiated through Olivia and Naomi in Year 5. They were then quick to build a team, including Ellie, Ava, Leila and Grace, amongst others, and presented a superb assembly earlier in the week.

The school raised an amazing sum of £380.04 on the day. The ‘Guess the number of Sweets in a Jar’ competition was also very popular, the winner will be unveiled in Monday’s assembly.

Thank you to everyone for making this such a success, and a particular big thank you to the fantastic ‘steering group,’ to our wonderful Year 5 class (and Mrs Lewis), and to our special guest for the day, Kate Harvey, who came in to make some fabulous craft jars with the children and even stayed on to help us out with the Cake Sale!
