Gorge Walking in Snowdonia… What a Day!

The Year 6 children have had an amazing day today, with the highlight undoubtedly being their gorge scrambling in the Conwy Valley (Afon Ddu Gorge).

The children had played lots of team games and been on the traverse wall, as well as the climbing wall, over the course of a showery morning. However, the rain held off in the afternoon and the children had great fun conquering the breathtaking Afon Ddu Gorge. Scrambling over rocks, through ‘the elephant’s bottom’ and even taking on the ‘behind the waterfall challenge’, our Year 6 pupils (and accompanying staff) can be truly proud of themselves.

The sun shone for the evening and the children enjoyed an hour or so on the beach before returning to the hostel and getting ready for bed… It’s the Miner’s Track and Conwy Castle tomorrow!
