Skyswood entered two teams for the Annual Girls Football Tournament on Saturday 7th July and both teams did the school proud. The ‘A’ team found themselves in a tough group and two of their group matches were against the eventual finalists, St Peters and Haberdashers. Both of these were really close games, with the team losing out by a single goal. A special mention should be given to Lexi, who played in goal for the first time in the absence of our two regular goalkeepers. The ‘B’ team were amazing, considering the majority of the team were children from the lower juniors. Mae stood out as an exceptional captain and gave her best performances of the season. The ‘B’ team were the first side in the tournament to score three goals in a match, when they defeated How Wood by three goals to one (with two goals from Ruby and one from Mae.)
