Year 2 Make Roly Poly Vehicles!

This term in DT, the children have been busy creating their very own roly poly vehicles and they’ve all turned out brilliantly!

In the first few lessons, they explored what makes children's toys fun, tested different construction methods, and designed their own colourful vehicles.

There were three types of vehicles the children could choose to make: the ditherer, the wanderer and the racer!

The children then got to work building. Using toilet roll tubes, cardboard and their own designs, they created fantastic roly poly vehicles. We tested them all and every single one was a success!
