Mr Harry R proves an effective Headteacher for the day!
Harry R (Year6 ) enjoyed a special day as Headteacher for the day on Friday 3rd October, having won the raffle that was drawn out for this experience back in the summer term (at our Summer Fair!); Harry led the staff briefing at 8.30 a.m. and then set up and led the whole school celebration assembly, presenting the certificates for Stars of the Week.
Harry then carried out lesson observations with Mr Bridle with Year 1 and Year 3, followed by a School Council Health & Safety Audit, a Celebration 'sticker' walk, a visit to Nursery and of course the Headteacher's Tea Party. Some useful suggestions were made during the Health & Safety walk, including the introduction of Den Monitors for classes in Key Stage 2.
Harry also met with Mr Jones and will be helping to promote a Lego Club for KS2, running parallel with Warhammer, on Tuesday after school.
Well done to Harry, an excellent, and very productive day.
