This week, Year R rounded off the term with lots of traditional Easter activities.
After learning about the significance of the cross for Christians during our visit to St Mary’s, we tasted hot cross buns (which went down very well!):
We went on an Easter egg hunt with our friends from Nursery:
And we all took part in an Easter bonnet parade!
We want to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone for the tremendous amount of effort and creativity that was put into making the Easter bonnets. It couldn’t have taken place without you! The children looked absolutely fantastic and were visibly excited and proud to be wearing them. They definitely made us feel like Spring had sprung (despite the rather cold and windy weather!) and was a special event we are sure the children won’t forget.
Another thank you must also go to Mrs Sharpe for taking some super photos on the day that capture the event perfectly. To view, please click on the link below:
Happy Easter from everyone in Reception!
