Year 5 – What’s been happening this week?

Written by Samuel Posner

Monday 24th November

Today we practised our ‘Summer is Iccumen in’ song for when we visit Henry VIII. In Music, we carried on practising our Christmas Carols for the Carol concert.

Tuesday 25th November

In English, we had a Big Write; it was based on ‘Feeling Safe Week’. At the end of the day, we had Art with Mr. Bridle; we made snowflakes for our surprise!

Wednesday 26th November

Today was great! We went on our school trip to Hatfield House! It was the best!

Thursday 27th November

Today we wrote recounts on our trip to Hatfield House, one or two will go on the website as well as a one in the newsletter. Once we finished our recounts, there was a list of activities to choose from all about the Tudors.

Friday 28th November

Today was a good day. First, in assembly we got the joint Golden Tick with Year R. Next, we went to the park; we earned all our marbles a few weeks ago. When it was lunchtime we went into the dining room to say goodbye to Mrs. Lambert which was sad.

Overall it has been a great week!
