Year 5 – Mr Bridle brings Ancient Egypt to life!

The children have been studying the Ancient Egyptians and have been learning about their beliefs, mummification and Canopic jars – which would contain the dried internal organs of the dead. We were lucky enough to have a ‘jar making’ session lead by Mr Bridle, who demonstrated and guided the class. The results were incredible! Beautiful individual jars were produced, each child choosing one of four typical designs: a jackal, human head, falcon or baboon. They will be heading for the kiln soon and then painted. Well done Year 5 and thank you Mr Bridle for your expert tuition!
