Year 3 footballers show great promise!

Our Year 3 football team played superbly against Bowmansgreen on Thursday 2nd May. Despite being two goals down at half-time, the team fought back well in the second half and Phoenix scored a great goal to reduce the deficit. Sam came more into the game and had a fabulous second half, teaming up well with Zac and Ben. Lorcan was superb in defence throughout the match, and ably assisted by Xander, Adrian and Bobby. Xander and Adrian each played a half as goalie and both performed really well. Up front, Reece showed plenty of skill, and the team were unlucky not to draw level, before Bowmansgreen scored a last minute goal to make the final score 3-1. All the team played brilliantly despite the fact that they were missing one of their key players, Alastair, who has been outstanding in previous matches. The whole performance promises much for the future, we clearly have a number of Year 3 boys who LOVE their football!
