Welcome to the Summer Term

16th April 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you had a lovely Easter break. We are looking forward to a busy, exciting and uninterrupted summer term with all children at school!

Please see the attached curriculum overview to see what the children will be studying this term.

As we’re sure you are aware, the end of Key Stage 1 tests have been cancelled which gives us additional time to work with the children.

I know some of you were eager to continue with volunteering. We are currently not allowed to have parent helpers in but if this does change you will be the first to know. We cannot wait to have you back!

We are currently considering a class trip in July and will confirm the details as soon as possible.

Further reminders:

  • P.E. lessons will continue to take place on Mondays and Thursdays. Please continue to bring the children into school wearing their PE kits on those days. We will where possible be completing athletics outside (especially after half term) so please canyou ensure they wear trainers too.
  • Spelling tests will take place on a Friday morning within the RWInc. slot. There spellings will be different and dependent on their RWInc. group.
  • As the weather improves (We are forever hopeful), please ensure your child has a sun hat and water bottle with them and that sun cream is applied before school as appropriate. However, please ensure your child comes to school with a jumper and coat while the weather is still interchangeable.

Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. Thank you again for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Harvey & Mrs Wildman
