Santa visits Woodlands and Skyswood!

Children at Woodlands Nursery and in our Reception class at Skyswood couldn’t believe their eyes earlier this week, when Santa visited our school to wish the children (and staff) a very Merry Christmas. The reindeer were quite tired after their long journey and chose to go for a short sleep behind Mr Newton’s sheds whilst Santa went into the classrooms to deliver some presents and meet the children. It really was a special occasion. Santa is so busy at this time of year that he only manages to visit a few schools before Christmas. He chose Skyswood because the children at Woodlands and Skyswood have been so good. Many of them have already written wonderful letters to Santa, so he knows just how excited they all are about Christmas. Thank you for your visit Santa, it was lovely to see you!

Welcome to Skyswood

Our vision

To provide a happy, caring and challenging environment where children recognise and achieve their full potential, developing a love for learning in an ever-changing world.

Welcome to Skyswood Primary and Nursery School.

We are a single form entry school located in the pleasant residential area of Marshalswick on the North-East side of St Albans. Our school has been a part of the local community since opening in 1960. We are also home to Skyswood Nursery, a 30 place mornings only nursery, that offers a warm and encouraging step into education for pre-school children.

We are proud of the academic and extracurricular achievements of our school, which are testament to the quality and commitment of our staff, the support of the wider community and the efforts and focus of the Skyswood pupils.
