Triple Header against Garden Fields

It has been great to see our school football teams back in action over the past couple of weeks, and following friendly matches against our neighbours at Wheatfields, the school fielded three teams against Garden Fields on Monday 17th May. In between some short but heavy showers, the first team came from a goal behind to win by two goals to one, with our two Samuels scoring the two Skyswood goals and Adrian enjoying another accomplished game as the Skyswood keeper.

The ‘B’ team dominated possession but found the Garden Fields goalie in exceptional form, losing out by two goals to nil despite creating several chances and showing great promise throughout the team. Ben showed excellent skill on the wing and Xander, Lorcan and Alex all had good games in defence, as well as good spells in midfield. Reece got into some fantastic positions and came close to scoring on two or three occasions. The performance certainly merited a couple of goals but there was lots to be proud of.

The girls team performed superbly and won by three goals to one, with Isla, Lilia and Tilly scoring for the girls. Lola and Lilia both gave fantastic performances and a number of Year 5 girls, such as Carmel, both Chloe S, Chloe H and Eva, put in a great effort for the team.
