Junk Music Workshop

Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic Junk Music Workshop thanks to three students from the Samuel Ryder Academy. Shannon, Bethany and Phoebe planned the special workshop as part of their ‘A’ level coursework and the children thoroughly enjoyed their opportunity to make a range of fantastic instruments through recycled materials. The class were divided into three groups, focusing on key characters within a story and creating sounds with these characters in mind. Snakes, elephants and zebras were portrayed through the music. A big thank you must to the three girls from Samuel Ryder, it was certainly great fun and a fabulous way to recycle plastic bottles, cans, biscuit tins and all sorts of odds and ends!
