Thank you, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of year 1!

Dear Parents,

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for the very generous voucher, the biggest prosecco bottle we have ever seen, the delicious chocolates and the beautiful Molten Brown soaps that we received for Christmas. That was very thoughtful of you all and we really appreciate them. I know we will be enjoying them over the next couple of weeks!

It has been a very strange and challenging year but I would like to personally thank you for all of your support this year. I know it has been different navigating all of the new rules and regulations so thank you very much for that. I think all of your children have had an amazing start to Year 1 and they have already made huge progress and you should all be very proud of them. We have only had them for 14 and a half weeks and already they have: found Ned the ted, made Fox’s sandwiches by following instructions, made and created their very own kites, performed with such confidence in the amazing Christmas play and everything else in between! Well done Year 1!

In the new Year Mrs Ahmed will be joining our Year 1 team. Mrs Ahmed and myself will both be in class in the morning together and Mrs Ahmed will be at University on Thursdays. Mrs Fox will be in every afternoon and all day on Thursday. Mrs Ahmed has introduced herself to the children and we are very excited to have her. In addition, in the Spring Term reading books will be changed on Monday and Thursday mornings rather than Tuesday and Friday mornings. This is due to changes in our timetables. Apologies for moving it around and making it one more thing to remember!

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas / Holiday and a very Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing all of the children back in 2021!

Stay safe and take care.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Kate Upton and Jane Fox
