With one fixture still remaining, the school ‘B’ team have won their league (League G) following four victories and one draw. The team captain, Antonio, secured a draw in a thrilling match against their closest rivals in the league (Prae Wood) with a superb last minute equaliser. The match ended 4-4 with Antonio scoring twice and Alfie (who gets better with every game) also scoring twice. Antonio has scored an amazing total of seven goals in the last three games (and he plays in midfield!) William has been excellent all season as the team goalkeeper, with Ben and Tommy playing in all of the season’s fixtures and being wonderfully reliable in defence. The creative midfield of Chris, Harry and Antonio have worked brilliantly together and enabled the team to often dominate possession in matches, whilst Alfie and Callum have regularly impressed up front. Jaiden and Matthew have also featured in a couple of the games so we are confident that we can build even further on this success when they move up into Year 6 (and 5 in the case of Harry and Alfie) next season.
