Football Updates

The school football team played in probably the best match of the season against an incredibly strong Killigrew team, earning a cup replay after an end to end match that was never short of entertainment but remarkably finished goal-less.

Meanwhile, the ‘B’ team kept up their 100% record with a 4-2 victory against Margaret Wix. An early goal from Antonio, who showed incredible energy and determination throughout the match, put Skyswood into the lead, before Callum extended his record of scoring in every game, making it 2-0. Margaret Wix fought back strongly and reduced the deficit. Callum then fired home a fantastic shot to re-establish the two goal advantage. However, a superbly worked second goal from Margaret Wix led to a nailbiting finish, with Alfie scoring his first goal for the school with virtually the last kick of the game (much deserved after a string of impressive performances!)

Both the ‘A’ team and the ‘B’ team will go into the new year on top of their respective leagues, with both teams retaining a 100% record after their respective three matches for the autumn term.
