Dear parents,
It became clear this morning that the number of Covid cases within the school is on a rapidly rising trajectory. Throughout this term we have been in constant consultation with Public Health England to ensure that we make the best decisions in terms of everybody’s health and safety within our school community.
We have therefore decided that our term will finish tomorrow at 3.15 p.m.
Our children and staff have worked tremendously on their Christmas shows and, although it has not been possible for all of these to be performed in front of a live audience, we have put our contingency plan into place and will be sharing a recorded version of the lower junior ‘Magical Christmas Jigsaw’ and a recording of the upper junior Carol Concert.
We hope that no inconvenience has been caused by our decision and once again thank all of our parents for the fantastic support that you have given us, particularly in recent weeks where we have been faced with an increasingly challenging situation.
We wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and hope that, in making our decision, we can give everybody a better chance of enjoying a Covid-free Christmas with their families.
Yours sincerely,
Bob Bridle (Headteacher)
