Congratulations to all of the children who were voted onto the School Council for 2023/24 and all of the children who put themselves forward for last week’s elections. Pupil Voice is really important to us and EVERY child in the school will have the opportunity to put ideas forward for School Council to consider at their meetings. We always have ‘Class Council’ meetings before the monthly School Council meetings to ensure that this is the case.
Our first meeting will be this Thursday at 1.30 p.m. The agenda will include ‘community partnerships’, ‘developing our values and vision’ and shortlisting potential themes for the 2024 Summer Fair (even though this seems a long way off, we need to decide upon a theme as early as possible to support FOSS in planning the event and making it such a special event within our Skyswood calendar.
The Year 6 girls vote was a tie, so Mr Bridle has decided to include all three girls (using one of his Head teacher’s nomination places. The second Head teacher’s nomination goes to Mirabel, who has given excellent presentations for three consecutive years and always missed out very narrowly on the class vote.
