Recycled Reece in the spotlight!

Our Reception class were particularly proud to lauch their fantastic book ‘Reece the Recycled Robot’ at the St Albans branch of Waterstones. The launch was hugely successful and many of the children turned up on the day to sign copies and join in the fun! The book, which is a 50 page hard back published by MPG Biddles, KIngs Lynn, contains all of the children’s pictures and writing about their 7 foot silver robot (which was made during a recent topic on Recycling!) It also contains a brief storyline about how Reece was created. Over seventy copies were sold on the day and there are now only about twenty remaining, so if any reception parents or children couldn’t get along on Saturday then it would be a good idea to pop along to Waterstones before they all sell out. The book sells for £10 per copy, which is excellent value for such a special collection of the children’s work. Mr Newton and Mr Bridle did get some funny looks when carrying Reece through the centre of town but we are pleased to say that, after the excitement of the launch, Reece has been safely returned to the Reception outside area!
