Skyswood defeat Camp in five goal thriller!

The school football team continued their good run of form with a fantastic 3-2 victory in a highly entertaining game against Camp. Ryan O scored the first goal following a superb pass from the edge of the penalty area. Camp then won a penalty, but Joe saved brilliantly to keep the score at 1-0 as the teams approached half time. In the second half, Camp equalised with an outstanding goal after a neat move involving three players. However, Skyswood responded instantly when the keeper failed to hold onto Alex’s shot and Ryan scored his second goal of the game. With a few minutes remaining Alex struck another fierce shot, which the Camp goalkeeper did well to save. Ryan W, was sharp to the rebound, striking the ball crisply to give Skyswood a two goal advantage. Camp put in a spirited performance throughout and set up a thrilling finish when they reduced the deficit with just one minute remaining and the light quickly fading. Skyswood held on to secure their second consecutive victory and keep up a league record of remaining unbeaten throughout the last three years in all home league fixtures! Well done to all of the team, they really had to work hard and play well to secure a victory in this end-to-end match!
