Year 6 enjoyed a wonderful walk up the Miner’s Track today, enjoying stunning views all the way. The slight cloud above the summit added an atmospheric touch, and then cleared in perfect timing as we reached the third lake, giving us a welcome glimpse of the peak of Snowdon. The children then enjoyed some time at the Welsh Slate Museum, with demonstrations from a blacksmith and a slate-splitter. In the evening it was back to the beach for a game of rounders (with the odd twist to conventional rules.) The children have been an absolute credit to the school and are really looking forward to Bounce Below and zip wires tomorrow.
