Mud Kitchen in Nursery!

Skyswood Nursery came back after the Easter holidays to discover an exciting new addition to their outside learning environment. Thanks to Mr Collenette, the children came back to find a fantastic new mud kitchen, equipped with two sinks, a hob, and several pots and pans. Our nursery children have already made great use of this new facility and it provides a perfect area for children to slip on their wellingtons and enjoy some messy outdoor play. There are to be a few further additions to the area, with the idea of adding in a small network of pipes and water to extend opportunities for water play. The nursery would welcome any  donations of large kitchen utensils, such as ladles, sieves or large spoons. The mud kitchen certain adds an extra dimension to the        children’s  range of role play and outdoor play opportunities, and is part of a wider plan to further develop the quality of our early years outdoor environments.
