Our Year 4 class enjoyed a fantastic feast of Mexican food when they visited Chiquito’s Restaurant in Garston as part of their current geography topic on Mexico. The topic is one of our new topics that has been introduced as part of the new national curriculum. The children have studied the human and physical geography of Mexico, along with Mexican life and culture. The Chiquito manager, along with two waitresses (Bia and Ellie) gave our children the five star treatment, laying on an absolute banquet of Mexican food for the children to sample. It was a great morning, we learnt a lot about Mexican food and also enjoyed an informative talk on Mexican culture. Some of our children have been so inspired by the project that they’ve even tried out their own recipes at home!
