Over a hundred members of our Skyswood community attended the Biggest Band event at the Wembley Arena in July 2011. The event raised valuable funds for the Save the Children Appeal and found a place in the Guinness Book of Records by becoming the biggest band to release a hit single. It’s Alright reached the ‘fringes’ of the top twenty, with Alexa Goddard being accompanied by over five thousand ‘band members’ for the live recording. Prior to this the audience were entertained by several bands and performers (most notably the incredible Britain’s Got Talent duet, Twist and Pulse.) The children sang three tracks altogether, including Pixie Lott’s ‘Boys and Girls’ and Michael Buble’s ‘Just Haven’t met you Yet.’ All revenue from downloads of the single has gone directly to Save the Children.
