Our Skyswood Athletics team performed superbly at the recent District Sports Event, winning the field events section and coming second overall after being narrowly pipped to the post by St Adrians. The whole team performed brilliantly. For the first time in many years all four of our high jumpers reached the finals. Grace won the long jump with her final throw, Alex won the throw, Alice and Ava won the Year 5 and 6 Girls sprints respectively and both of our relay teams gained valuable points, with the girls missing out by a whisker! Sarah and Alex both finished in the top four for the 600 metres and Jack finished third in the Year 3 sprint final. Well done to everybody, you have broken our Skyswood points record for field events and made us all very proud! Let’s hope our British Olympics team can now follow your example!
