Around fifty volunteers from the Deloitte Community Project gave up their day to transform identified areas of our external school environment on Friday 16th September. The group transformed our Japanese Garden area, which will ultimately be turned into an outside classroom for our Year 1 and 2 pupils. Other areas identified included the space behind the shed, which was incredibly overgrown and has now been totally cleared, along with parts of our environmental area, the removal of some bushes and shrubs, the painting of our Woodlands Nursery fence, the painting of our Reception class fence and shed, tidying up in the Reception outside area, and pruning of hedges around the school. The children and staff could hardly believe the transformation that took place over the course of the day. Many thanks to the team from Deloitte, and many thanks to all of those parents who so kindly lent us tools.
