The Flower of the Holy Night

Children from Years 3 and 4 performed their Christmas play, The Flower of the Holy Night, with great confidence, enthusiasm and sparkle! The songs were absolutely delightful and the play was livened up by the regular appearance of the highly entertaining ‘three amigos!’ The story, based in Mexico, followed Benito’s endless efforts to produce the ‘perfect gift’ for the Baby Jesus. The message behind the story was that gifts are really special if they are truly gifts from the heart! All of the children were outstanding, narrating with clarity and expression, acting with confidence, humour and expert timing, and singing beautifully. Special congratulations must go to Jack, Aaron and Louis for their superb solo performances, and to all of the dancers – A wonderful Mexican Christmas greeting dance and even a Gangnam Style interpretation weaved into the plot, with Thomas at the very heart of the dancing! The children clearly enjoyed performing and this was indeed one of the real highlights of the term. Well done to ALL of the children! (And a big thank you to our fantastic staff team who worked hard with the children to ensure that the performance was great fun from start to finish!
