Following on from the fantastic achievements of our Environmental Club over several years under the expert guidance of David Davies and Diana Devereux, we are delighted to inform parents and children that we will be re-establishing our Environmental Club thanks to local gardener, Natalie Nightingale. Mrs Nightingale will be supported by Mr Collenette on Wednesdays, starting on the 14th September. The club will run a course over the autumn half-term, finishing on Wednesday 19th October.
The format will be similar to our former Environmental Club, although it will be open to all children in our infants and juniors. However, to begin with, the club will be limited to 12 children on a first come, first served basis. If there are more children interested then additional children will be given priority for forthcoming courses, either in the second half of the spring term or in the summer term.
We are extremely proud of our Environmental Area. The children love the opportunity to grow their own plants, herbs and vegetables, and those who enrol for our Environmental Club learn a number of valuable skills as well as having great fun!
