End of Spring Term Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have had the most fantastic half term!

In English we made our own instructions for icing biscuits and followed these instructions. In addition, we have created a non-chronological report about a mammal. This non-chronological report links in with our science topic as we have been looking at reptiles, mammals, insects, fish, birds and amphibians. We even had a visit from the friendly and very fluffy Paddy! All the children stroked him and had a lovely picture taken with him.

In our Maths we have been looking at part part whole models, finding the difference and counting forwards and backwards in 2’3, 5’s and 10’s.

In our RE and PSHE topics we have taken part in the Easter trail. We have a completed a Mindfulness listening practice which incorporated the theme of Easter. They started off with a feather in partners and had to keep it in the air using mindful breaths. Then in groups they each had 6 numbered colourful eggs and had to match them to their pair by listening to what they sounded like.

In Art we have made some amazing observational drawings of plant life. We went on a nature walk around the school to find plant life and took pictures with the iPads too- they were fantastic photographers.

We have made wonderful Easter cards and Mothers Day presents.  These are just a few examples of all the fantastic things we have achieved this half term!

I would like to wish you all a lovely Easter holiday.

Best wishes,

Miss Upton and Mrs Fox
