Congratulations to all of the children who entered our Lauren Child and Anthony Horowitz Author of the Term Competitions. We received several entries for the ‘Charlie and Lola go to the Zoo’ competition, and these are currently on display in the school hall. Particular thanks must go to Emily, Sebastian, Hannah and Megan for producing the wonderful tiger and snake. Your beautiful pictures really bring the display to life.
There were also a large number of entries for the Lauren Child ‘create a character’ competition (with due regard given to her style of illustration, with high eyes, simple features and an effective use of pattern with details such as clothing or background.)
We also received many front cover designs for the Anthony Horowitz competition, along with a few fantastic stories based on the adventures of those disastrous detectives…the Diamond Brothers!
Congratulations must go to all of the children who entered, but particular congratulations go to Georgia (who won the Charlie and Lola go to the zoo competition), Hannah H, (who won the Lauren Child character competition), Logan, (who won the Anthony Horowitz front cover competition and Zaynah, (who won the Anthony Horowitz Diamond Brothers detective story competition). Thank you to Mrs Spitall (school secretary), Mrs Lewis, and Erin (School Council) for their support with the judging.
Every child received a special certificate and our winners all received book tokens as prizes.
