It’s not often that science-fiction successfully merges with a traditional Nativity story, but that’s exactly what our early years children pulled off when they performed their Christmas show, ‘When Santa got Stuck in his Space Ship.’
Obviously travelling with a group of helpful aliens (as opposed to elves), the space ship unfortunately broke down. However, this gave the aliens the opportunity to witness the journey to Bethlehem and birth of Jesus. The children all sang beautifully, looked fantastic in their colourful costumes, and loved the opportunity to perform on the school stage. It was certainly a very polished performance, with the children having learnt the words to many songs and bringing them to life with lots of lovely actions. Well done to all of the children in nursery and reception and a big thank you to JJ and Liberty for narrating, along with Fiona, who narrated for the rehearsals but was unfortunately ill on the day. Liberty stepped in and must be congratulated on her excellent efforts at short notice.
