Football team through to Clarence Park

The school football team have made it through to the semi-finals of the St Albans City cup following an excellent 1-0 win over this season’s closest rivals, St Bernadette. The schools have now played each other on three occasions. Each match has been a fantastic game of football and each match has been decided by a single goal (with both schools winning a game apiece in our league encounters.

The match was a fine display of primary football despite the muddy conditions. Both teams were highly competitive and eager to show a fluent, passing style. Daniel scored the winner, being first to react from a tight angle following a save from the St Bernadette’ keeper. Max pulled off a string of fantastic saves as the match swung from end to end.

The victory ensures a semi-final match at Clarence Park at the end of the season, although the two schools may yet meet for a fourth game (as they are neck and neck at the top of the league with equal points after the same amount of games.)

Well done to Max, Aaron, Louis, Jack, George, Daniel and Adam, another splendid performance!
